RB-MOS/D800M Fiber composite sliding plate for Marine Fender.

RB-MOS/D800M is made of Fiber fabric composite, self lubricating and maintenance free and it has been widely used for marine and offshore industry due to its high durability, higher load limit, low friction as well as low water swelling properties. One of the application is marine fender.


Why RB-MOS/D800M?

Marine fender typically made of rubber or plastic. Plastic includes Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) or High Density polyethylene (HDPE). All of plastic fenders can be used for Fender, but it has several limitation. One of them is the compressive strength. This compressive strength leads to how the plates can take load/ compression during operation. It leads to durability of the plates.

RB-MOS/D800M fenders has high load/compressive capacity compare to those plastic fenders. Here is the datasheet comparison of some major properties

Above data proves that RB-MOS/D800M has huge compressive strength as well as load limit to cater high loading and higher impact resistance

Lets take an example of 100x100mm (width x length) plate

UHMWPE & HDPE  load limit

P= F/A

Given: P= 20mpa

A= 100x100 = 10,000mm2

F = 20x10,000 = 200,000N = 20tons

> 1 plate UHMWPE 100x100mm can hold max 20tons load

RB-MOS/D800M  load limit

P= F/A

Given: P= 395mpa

A= 100x100 = 10,000mm2

F = 395x10,000 = 3,950,000N = 395tons

> 1 plate RB-MOS/D800M 100x100mm can hold max. 395tons load.


RB-MOS/D800M can hold approx. 20x more load than UHMWPE / HDPE!
